Trek 2022

IPA-MSB-SF’s Sports committee organized its first offline event, i.e., trek to the Garbett Plateau, for the academic year 2022-23.

Located in Karjat, southwest to Matheran, Garbett Plateau is a mesmerizing tourist

spot. At an altitude of 2625 ft, it offers a 360˚ view of Matheran hill station. One can

experience the lush forests, serene lake and waterfall with woodland sounds.

The journey began from two pickup points, i.e., Bombay college of pharmacy and Cidco bus stop. Four buses picked up the participants from their respective stops. During the bus journey, sandwich and fruit juices were provided. The troupe reached the base village, Diksal, at 10 a.m. After having

breakfast till 11:30 the group commenced for the trek. Participants were provided with refreshment kits including chocobakes cake , chocolates, Bisleri bottle and biscuits.

The trek started under the guidance of 16 volunteers from Trekscapers and members

of the IPA sports committee. The troupe reached the final destination. After having a brief break and enjoying the captivating view, the troupe left for Diksal waterfall. The troupe enjoyed the splashes of streams and waterfall, and eventually left for the base village. Once the troupe reached the base village, lunch was provided before leaving for Mumbai.

In association with Trekscapers, the trek was carried out seamlessly. With the enthusiasm of over 203 participants, the event was a huge success.
