The sports cell of the IPA kicked off its events with the annual pool event which was held on the 29th of December at Inorbit Mall, Vashi.

The first sports event saw an active participation of 98 students for the boys’ tournament from over 10 pharmacy colleges. The event started at 11:00 AM with all the players showing off their aiming and judgment skills throughout the day. In boys singles the 1st and the 2nd position was secured by BCP while the 3rd place was won by LHH. The doubles discipline saw LHH secure the 1st place with BCP and NM at 2nd and 3rd respectively.

The girls’ tournament saw an overwhelming crowd of 106 participants from various pharmacy colleges. The 1st place for the singles event was bagged by BVP with BNCP and BCP at 2nd and 3rd respectively. All the three positions of the girls’ doubles event were won by BVP. All the players gave their best shot and competed to bag the winning spot.

The event was wrapped up by 7.30 pm.

The students displayed their energy, enthusiasm and zeal. Due to the excitement and support shown by the audience, the participants were greatly motivated.

The event was efficiently managed by all the sports committee members along with the other members of the IPA-MSB-SF. The first sports event of Rx Melange 2017-18 was definitely a huge success.
