The year saw great turnout of numerous people for the Navratri Night on 22 September, 2017 at Bombay College of Pharmacy. Navratri festivities got underway from 6pm onwards with amazing zeal amongst the crowd to celebrate the nine day long festival to commemorate and invoke the blessings of Goddess Durga in her various forms.
Students from all pharmacy colleges across Mumbai came dressed in traditional Garba and Dandia attire which made a spectacular visual treat for everyone to relish. The positivity and energy exuberating out of the colourful costumes combined with the enthusiasm of dancing to the dandiya folk songs and Bollywood music made the entire event extremely fruitful. Food packs were distributed to keep up with intensity of the dancing on the ground.
The icing on the cake for everyone was the 'Face off’ twist that was executed at the very end of event. This face off (males and females) was greeted with cheers by the other participants and points were given to the best dancers and the best dressed participants. The event proved to be a great chance to all members to socialize and enjoy. Overall the Navratri Night was a success, and agreeably great fun.
