The Indian Pharmaceutical Association - Maharashtra State Branch - Students' Forum is better known as the IPA-MSB-SF. It organizes various events and activities for the overall professional development of pharmacy students in Mumbai and the surrounding areas. The crowning glory of IPA-MSB-SF is its annual fest Rx. This year, the theme of Rx was 'Rx Igneus: Where Execution Kindles Change.' This theme was selected to emphasize that sometimes all people need to excel in life is a spark, and once a motive to excel is found, nothing can stop them. This fest was successful only by the constant guidance of Dr. Anand Shedge, Mentor of IPA-MSB-SF, and Vice-President of IPA-MSB.
Keeping public safety in mind, Rx Igneus was hosted on an online platform. A custom website was developed for this purpose, wherein every single event of Rx Igneus was streamed live. This website saw hundreds of unique visitors throughout the 3-day period. It had a vibrant interface, with easily accessible shortcuts for the convenience of the audience. It also boasted an aesthetic backdrop of fire, which added to the furor that surrounded leaderboards and chat boxes. The website also had simple games for the audience who waited for an event to begin. This proved to be a much-loved addition.
The first day of Rx Igneus began with the Inauguration Ceremony, which witnessed presences of dignitaries like Dr. Anand Shedge, and Dr. N. Sivaprasad (President, IPA-MSB). Other eminent office-bearers of IPA-MSB were also present. The Ceremony was also graced by the Chief Guest, Dr. Sharmila Banerjee, who inaugurated the Rx Igneus website. The Guest of Honour for the Inauguration was Dr. Krishna Iyer, the Principal of Bombay College of Pharmacy. Both renowned guests imparted insightful knowledge to the audience. As a token of appreciation and gratitude, a video dedicated to the sponsors of Rx Igneus was also played. The inauguration came to conclusion with a stimulating speech given by Mr. Pravin Tak, Chairperson of IPA-MSB-SF. It was followed by a vote of thanks, given by Ms. Preetika Pathare, Vice-chairperson of IPA-MSB-SF.
On the first day of Rx Igneus, Evaluation of Health Campaigns was done. Numerous popular events like Gully Boy, Pharmaquiz, Chess, and more were conducted. This day also saw the debut of the event Formulator's Lab.
The second day of Rx Igneus saw a plethora of new and old events like Pictionary, Into Your Shoes, and more. Brand Yourself is yet another event of professional importance that was held.
The third and final day of Rx Igneus saw compelling events like Convince Me and BGMI, and the most anticipated technical event, Poster Presentation. The showstopper of the entire fest was the Cultural event called The Realm. It consisted of three rounds, which tested talents and quick-wits of the participants.
The conclusion to this magnificent fest came in the form of its Closing Ceremony. Colleges had competed for many prizes like Best Cultural College, Best Sports College, etc.; and different committee heads of IPA-MSB-SF announced results pertaining to their respective committees. The ultimate highlight was the Best College Trophy, results of which were announced by the Chairperson of IPA-MSB-SF.
All in all, Rx Igneus continued and bettered the enchanting legacy of Rx. The core team of 11 resilient Heads, and the entire team of over 100 members, worked hard day and night to make this year successful. IPA-MSB-SF's strength was the execution, which kindled the perfect change.
