 DAY 1: ENvironment heed

Event- PHO Evaluation

PHO evaluation is an annual event conducted to evaluate the campaigns carried out all round the year by the colleges. According to the protocol, there are 6 campaigns out of which 4 campaigns are compulsory to be eligible for the PHO shield. On the basis of the evaluation, best colleges for World Health Day Campaign, Innovative Campaign, Lockdown Health Awareness Campaign and Community Outreach Campaign were selected. Along with it, the Best Public Health Office was declared. The judges for this year's evaluation were Mr. Chinu Kwatra, Mr. Kalyan Raygalla, Mr. Dipesh Suvarna and Mr. Uday Pandey.

Event- Pictionary

This event was based on the talent of drawing a word and guessing the word from the drawing. A random word was given to one of the participants for drawing and others had to guess it while the participant was drawing. This event was conducted on Google meet and www.skribbl.io .

Event- Butterfly Effect

It is said that Butterfly’s wings have the potential to create tiny changes. These tiny changes could somehow have a major effect. The participants were given random words and they had to form a meaningful story using those words. The usage of each word impacted the story in a way. It was conducted on Google Meet.

Event- Showbizz

The pandemic led to everyone watching numerous web series, television series, movies and shows. This event was based entirely on these topics. It was conducted in two rounds. The first round was conducted on Google Meet and quiz.com and it was the elimination round. The second round was finals and it was conducted on zoom. 

Event- Gully Boy

Raps are musical pieces in which words are  spoken in a rapid rhythmic pattern. The participants performed raps written by them. It consisted of two rounds, first round was elimination and second round was finals. The participants had to be ready with two raps before the event. 

Event- Junk Jamming

In this, the participants performed instrumental musical pieces using items available at home or in the surroundings like  water-drums, sticks, glasses, utensils, buckets, etc. They had to prepare the piece before the event. They weren't allowed to use instruments for the same.

Event- Valorant

Owing to the pandemic situation, the sports committee took their events to the online platform. Valorant in an online game played in a team. Each team had 5 players and they competed against each other according to the draws. It was a two round event, first round was knockouts and second was finals. 

Event- Free Fire

The sports committee also introduced Freefire- a battle royale game played in third person perspective. The aim was to be the last man standing while fighting and surviving using weapons, tactical items and other utility items available in various places in the game. Each round consisted of 3 matches and winners were decided on the basis of points system.

Event- Debate

It was a technical event organised by the Pharmacy Education Office. The teams consisted of 2 participants and had to go against each other according to the draws drawn the day before.

Submission Events

It had two types of events:- 

1. Art events: Leaf imprint, Embroidery art, Brush it up, Mukhota, Optical illusion, Soap carving and Wand making. 

2. Video  making events: Silent movie making, Chemical natak, The realm.

In these events the participants had to submit their entries, it was held on the first day of Rx i.e 05/03/2021.Considering the current pandemic, the participants had to follow the social distancing norms in all the video making events.

Event- Leaf Imprint

Participants had to portray their classical imagination using dyed leaves on a paper or a cloth of their choice.

Event- Embroidery Art

The participants had to choose any woven fabric such as silk, cotton, wool, etc as a base to create beautiful designs. They were given the liberty to use any decorating materials such as beads, pearls and/or sequins.

Event- Brush It Up

The participants had to choose a base such as a cup, bag, box, etc to imprint their imagination through the flow of their brush. They were given the liberty to choose any type of paint.

Event- Mukhota

Participants had to design a mask such that a complete picture is formed of the character by just looking at the mask. The participants had to make their own mask of any imaginary or fictional character. There were no restrictions on the type of paints and material used to make the mask. 

They also had to give a short description about the character they were representing through their mask in the description box provided in the submission form. 

Event- Soap Carving

Participants had to engrave the soap bar and create sculptures with their own imagination.

Event- Optical Illusion

Optical Illusion Art is an aesthetic style that intentionally exploits that oddity of human perception that gives the human eye the ability to deceive the brain. Participants had to create such an illusion in their artwork. Participants had to create a 2D optical artwork.

Event- Wand Making

Participants had to design and make their own wand using any material or paints, name it and describe its purpose.

Event- Silent Movie Making

Silence speaks louder than words!

A silent film screenplay includes an actor's motions and facial expressions, rather than dialogue to convey the story line. Each team had a maximum of 4 members and the story had to be conveyed in a time span of 2 minutes. The stories ranged from comedies to thrillers to emotional rollercoasters.

Event- Chemical Natak

This event tested how well the students could make chemistry fun by having chemical elements as characters or by incorporating chemistry related themes in their skit.

Event- Meme Mastic

Participants had to click some funny pictures or a single picture of their choice and create a sarcastic meme out of it. Memes could be in the form of collage or a single picture which could have been digital or hand drawn.
