The Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA), is a premier organization representing the body of pharmaceutical professionals of the country, encompassing the various aspects of pharmaceutical and healthcare domain. Its works towards sensitizing the government and the community as a whole, towards crucial professional and healthcare Concerns, supporting the cause of pharmacy and striving towards producing skilled, innovative and competent healthcare professionals along with the development of their overall persona for the betterment of the Society.

To be a leading organization in pharmacy and pharmaceutical education in the country with the elemental goal of developing professionally trained individuals, fit for transforming the healthcare structure through research and erudition.

LITERATI

This year Editorial committee had organised the event Literati in August 2017 which gave the writers of the pharmacy world an opportunity to speak their mind through words and showcase their talent. It consisted of two broad categories of events:- 1) Online events, 2) Offline events.
Online events consisted of 1) Logo design contest, 2) Chemistry with a twist, 3) Digital poster. In logo making contest, the participants had to design a logo on any topic of his/her choice. Clubbing of chemistry with an image to represent an abstract idea was the event Chemistry with a twist and in Digital poster the participants had to design a poster on the following topics: 1) Cadaveric dissection and ethics, 2) 3-D printing in healthcare, 3) An exposition of medicinal preponderance of Moringa oleifera. Three links were made where the participants had to submit their entries.Offline events of Literati consisted of:
1).Classis essay writing
2).Poetry writing
3).Tell a tale
4).Nanotale writing
5).Mumbaikar tales
6).Lettering
Participants could write essay, poem, tale or a nanotale on any topic of their interest and the entries were accepted in English, Hindi and Marathi languages. The main challenge in nanotale was to write a tale using 15 words only. Mumbaikar tales included tales that happen in every day life of a Mumbaikar and presented in a unique way and the topics for lettering were
1). Travel
2) Masterpiece,
3) Health and
4) Mumbai.
30th September 2017 was the last date to submit entries for both offline and online events. Literati- 2017 was a huge success as 17-18 colleges from all over Maharashtra had participated.
